Valve Sand Casting

Sand casting uses a compressed sand mold with a cavity. Metal is poured into the hole, held together by a mix of sand and other materials. This method is ideal for producing diverse, complex shapes. It can handle varying weights and sizes. Sand casting is better suited for more significant valve components. Unlike lost foam and wax castings, it has the most considerable casting weight of approximately 2 tons. However, it requires more machining allowance for the subsequent machining operations.

Valve Investment Casting

Investment casting is a traditional metal casting method. Investment casting offers economic benefits because the wax molds are reusable. This precision casting technique is suitable for crafting cast steel valve components, such as butterfly and ball valves. Investment casting can ensure excellent dimensions, tight tolerances, and smoother surfaces.

Permanent Mold Casting

Permanent mold casting or gravity die casting, utilizes metal molds. The mold casting molds can be used repeatedly. This casting method is suitable for valve parts that need high precision. It also works well when the parts need smooth surfaces and close tolerances. It is commonly used to craft valve components from non-ferrous metals. Brass and aluminum alloys are often chosen. The reusable molds make production cost-effective. Permanent mold casting is often used in manufacturing valve bodies, covers, and smaller parts. This process is essential for maintaining consistent quality.

Lost Foam Casting

Lost Foam Casting is ideal for creating precise cast iron valve parts. It provides a good surface finish and size. Valve castings produced using this method are often near-net shape or net shape. They usually need little or no machining.

Pressure Testing and NDT

At Dawang Casting, we can ensure that our valve casting parts undergo pressure testing. We also perform non-destructive testing (NDT) to verify product integrity. We guarantee leak-free performance in all our manufactured products. Moreover, our silica sol casting process ensures excellent surface finish and dimensional accuracy. This allows us to meet drawing requirements through casting alone. It eliminates the need for more machining. This delivers unparalleled finishes and ensures premium quality for our customers.

PED Material Certifications We Passed For Valve Casting

We can provide a variety of steel valve casting. All valve body casting has passed PED material certification (Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU), and AD2000 certification.
